Dr. Kahn devotes many hours keeping the Citrus Variety Collection, evaluating and describing fruit quality, harvesting fruit, as well as creating attractive displays on numerous events including the Acid Expo and the International Farm Gear Show, said MaryLou Polek, chief scientific discipline editor of The Citrograph, the Citrus Research Boards flagship newsletter.
In addition to her work with a Citrus Variety Collection, one of several worlds most diverse existing collections of citrus plus citrus relatives,kids supra shoes, Kahn is co-principal private investigator (with Mikeal Roose) on a project to observe the commercial potential of recent citrus cultivars, as part of an integrated software to develop and evaluate brand new commercial citrus scion along with rootstock cultivars suitable for California conditions.
Kahn got her bachelors degree inside botany from the University of Mich in 1981 and her Ph.D. in botany from UC Riverside later. She also graduated from a California Agricultural Leadership Put in 2005. In 2000, she received the Staff Who Matter Award from the UCR Staff Putting your unit together.
